Dear Residents,

Through the past month, we’ve encountered a lot of change and uncertainty about the future. Though at times it might seem scary, we are all in this together. Although I am working remotely, I am always here to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Please feel free to call or email me at any time!

Also, please make sure your contact information is updated and correct. We will be utilizing One Call Now messaging system to provide voice, text and email messages as the situation evolves and new changes are implemented. This is the best way to stay informed of new policies, so providing the correct contact information is essential!

We will get through this as a united community, and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you when we are on the other side of this. We are all doing our part to prevent the spread of the virus and flatten the curve. Thank you for your sacrifices to help ensure the health and wellness of your fellow residents by following the community guidelines we’ve put into place, as well as practicing social distancing and heeding the CDC’s guidance for preventing the spread of illness.

Once again, please reach out to me with any questions, comments or concerns. Thank you for your continued support and partnership – I am wishing health, safety and wellness to you and your families.

Sincerely,
Cathy Winfree
Community Manager

Resident Appreciation Day

Our western-themed Residents Appreciation Day was a huge success and we want to thank everyone that helped put the event together! The event was on February 22 and couldn’t have gone any better thanks to the participation of our fantastic residents.

We started our day with coffee and bagels at the clubhouse and everyone was excited to get the fun started with the games that were spread throughout the community. The scavenger hunt was also a huge hit and brought a lot of laughs.

Lunch started in the clubhouse at 11 a.m., and was catered by BURGERQUE of Ft. Myers. We feasted on pulled pork, pulled smoked chicken sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw, and a fixings bar. We crowned Fred Puhlfuerst as our Resident of the Year. Fred and his wife Jan have lived in Tara Woods since 2001. Fred is extremely involved in tennis and is a part of many committees in the community.

The evening was capped off with a dance at the clubhouse and this year’s theme was country western. All in all, it was a fabulous day with great weather and great friends.

Have you ever wondered about your ancestors, where they came from, or the impact they had on those around them? There are a ton of tools out there for you to not only discover your roots, but also make it easier for future generations of your family too.

Every branch of your family tree has a story. That’s the beauty of lineage, it’s just as unique as you are. In the past, unless your family kept a detailed history, tracing ties back generations could be a very difficult task. But now, with all of the resources at our disposal, family trees around the world are finally coming together, and yours can to. The best part of this experience is that it’s an adventure the entire family can enjoy together!

Many families take vacations to locations around the world they are tied to, like this one in Ireland where you can browse tons of digital records and even speak privately with onsite genealogists. Once your family tree has fully blossomed, you can finish the adventure by bringing it all together to make it easy for future generations to carry on.

Bringing your family together has never been easier or more fun. There’s no better time than the present to find your next adventure, the family experience you’ve been looking for, and, most of all, your roots.
