Capital Improvements

In the January/ February edition of the Bulletin, we reviewed some of the notable improvements from 2016. We are very excited about what is coming in 2017!

Lake Lodge Improvements

Around the time you receive this edition of the Bulletin, you will be able to enjoy the Lake Lodge improvements that were ready on Monday, February 27, 2017. The new improvements include:

  • Freshly painted library, kitchen, café area and bathrooms
  • Refinished floors in the main room
  • New laminate flooring in the kitchen and café areas
  • New vertical blinds in the great room with window valances

Improvements Coming in the Early Spring

  • New decking off the back and side entrances
  • Exterior painting and window trim replacements
  • Back entrance doorway renovation

Surprise Addition

We teased you with surprise in the last edition—wait no longer! Saddlebrook will be constructing a pavilion at the Lake Lodge! The pavilion will be a new amenity our residents can use during a private party, a resident event or just to enjoy a casual visit or get-together with neighbors and friends. It will be located behind the Lake Lodge in a location similar to where we install the seasonal tents. Soon we will have a drawing of our model for you to view, and we expect to have the structure complete by summer 2017.

This is a sample photo of a picnic pavilion. The final design has not been approved.

Take Every Legal Deduction You Can
Tax avoidance is legal. Tax evasion is not and is subject to criminal penalties. According to Investopedia, “Tax avoidance is the use of legal methods to modify an individual's financial situation to lower the amount of income tax owed… by claiming the permissible deductions and credits.” View “Top Seven Senior Tax Breaks” at FindLaw, and double-check with your tax preparer to ensure you’re taking full advantage of deductions and credits to which you are entitled.
