Welcome to 2017! I, for one, am very excited to launch into the new year. We have so many improvements this year coming your way beginning with newly renovated restrooms in the Greenbrier Clubhouse. What a refreshing change compared to the old dark and dreary ones.
The next project to toot our horn about is card access to the clubhouses and pools. Every registered resident will receive one access card (that’s per registered person, not per household). This card will give you access to the clubhouses and pools. If you have guests using the facilities, you may accompany them to these locations. If you loan them your card, you do so at your own risk. Replacement cards will have to be purchased by each resident, and they will be assigned at the office. A copy of your driver’s license will be required to receive your access card. Once all residents have received their access cards and the system is installed, it will be activated.
Smile, you’re on Candid Camera! We will be installing security cameras in all the clubhouses as well.
Next up on the improvement superhighway is a long-awaited upgrade to the Fitness Center. New equipment, lighting, flooring and multiple televisions for your viewing pleasure—all in a bright, warm and inviting setting—are changes that will enhance your exercise experience. Start your healthy new year by working out and performing strength training in our luxurious fitness center.
We sent out a new gate-attendant survey in January. It is important to get a pulse on the community regarding the desire to have 24-hour gate attendants at the front entrance. We need to have majority approval from Fairways Country Club residents, so if you haven’t already, please return your survey and make your vote count.
We’re looking forward to moving into our new office shortly. It will be situated in the same location as our old office, but WOW, what a difference you will see. It’s spacious, airy and inviting as you walk in. Please come visit and sit a spell when our new offices are open. Prepare to be impressed.
I want to thank all the residents who came out to honor our local police, firefighters and EMTs at the annual First Responders golf tournament. We had over a hundred participants and the most first responders ever. We had a great day for golf and fellowship. Our honored guests really enjoyed themselves, and I look forward to doing this again next year.
Please read through the Bulletin and make a note on your calendar of the upcoming events.
All the best for 2017,
